When I have speakers and headphones connected, my headphones keep dropping out

I recently bought a pair of speakers for my PC, I put them into the rear headphone jack on my computer, and plugged in headphones into the front audio jack. I have absolutely no problem with my speakers, but when I use my headphones for playing a game, or watching a movie when my flatmates are home, I have to turn my headphones down to 6-8, so that the audio doesn't cut out. Any ideas? I use to have my headphones at 30, but now it barely works unless I take out my speakers. I really dont want to move my desk and unplug my speakers every time I want to use my headphones. Any ideas? Running W10, Asus Prime X370 Pro Mobo with realtek audio driver.

1. Do you have the latest Realtek driver installed on your system?
2. Have you tried to uninstall the Realtek driver, reboot, and test without Realtek driver installed (but using windows 10 Realtek driver)?
3. Was this a windows 7 upgrade to windows 10 or a windows 10 new install?

1. Yeah, triple checked if it was
2. I just uninstalled Realtek, and it works fine using the W10 driver
3. No, only ever had W10 on this PC.

I like the option with base W10 driver that I can choose Headphones or speakers, but it now sounds a bit off, not as much depth in the audio as it had with Realtek. Are there any audio drivers that will make the audio have more depth?

Also, thanks so much for the speedy reply! Your like the Flash!

They are 32 Ω, but I don't have a problem with my phone or anything else with them. It goes back to normal if I unplug the speakers from my PC.
