I have looked everywhere I can think of and I can't find anybody with a similar situation... I have an Hp g1 elite book.. I have a very strange issue with the keyboard where keys are not working as they should be.. I have removed the keyboard from where it sits and it works fine however when I go to clip it back in I'm getting the same weird error.. I'm not pressing or doing anything apart from lining it up to click back in and each time I get the same error... It goes crazy and repeats - BN and starts opening windows.. I don't need to click it in just merely lining it up is making this happen..im assuming there is something interfering with it when I try clip it back but I can't work it out and it's driving me crazy. Has anybody else experienced anything similar? Any advice would be great

Solution
it's probably broken at the point the flex cable hits the keyboard and the particular position required for it to operate normally is causing a short in that cable.

The normal procedure is to replace the keyboard.
