I have reset my laptop yasterday and after everything was done I turned the laptop on again, and windows couldn't install! Instead I was faced with an error saying:

"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer and then restart the installation."

I've clicked ok several times, the computer restarted but I got the same error! Any help please?

Solution
try the following :

**Try creating your own user
type "cd c:\windows\system32\oobe"
type "msoobe"
<follow the instructions and restart and try to login with the account u created>

** Try creating a admin account instead
type "mmc"
click on menu File. add/remove snap-in
select Computer Management
click Add
select Local Computer and click Finish. Ok.
click on Computer Management -> System Tools -> Local Users and Groups -> Users
double click on Administrator
then unCheck account is disabled and click OK
then right click Administrator and click on set password
<restart and try to log in as admin[strike][/strike]>

** if that didnt work
type the following to fix the boot record

  • bootrec /fixmbr
    bootrec /fixboot
    bootrec /rebuildbcd

my laptop is an Asus X555UJ, I'm not using a USB/DVD, the laptop came with Win10 when I bought it. And what do you mean my installer?

well your original post was kind a vague. i assumed you were talking about your initial install when you said "after everyting was done".

anyways. asus laptops (as do most modern laptops ) usually have a rescue partition during cases like these. so you dont need an installer to repair your OS. ill try to look into the support site of your laptop rn.

[strike]can you try pressing F2 as soon as your laptop is booting so we can get into your hardwares software (BIOS)?[/strike]

nvm about goin to the BIOS. it doesnt have a bootmenu. which is weird. but maybe there is but i didnt see it in their manual. lets just do this instead... what youre experiencing rn btw is that somehow your laptop shutdown in the middle of a windows update. thus causing what we call a "boot loop".

once you see the screen below press "shift+f10".

let me know if a command console screen pops up.
