Hi there. I'm looking for some help on setting up my new X-Rocker 5125401 gaming chair along with my existing speakers the way I'm hoping to get it all working.

As is, the sound quality of this chair is kinda terrible, especially in comparison to the Logitech z623 2.1 speakers I already own. I certainly did not buy this chair as a replacement for those speakers, but rather the main attraction was for the haptic rumble of having a subwoofer implanted in the chair to add immersion to my gaming experiences. With that said, there are 2 configurations I had in mind that would be ideal, but I have not been successful in achieving yet, which are:

1) Have the Logitech speakers working as their usual, 2.1 configuration, and have only the subwoofer in the chair working to compliment (mainly just for the rumble, not necessarily for the sound, since the sub in the Logitechs sound much better)

2) Have all 4 speakers working in surround sound configuration, with the Logitechs being the front 2, the speakers in the head of the chair being the rear 2, and both subs working.

My motherboard is an Asus Maximus VIII Hero, with a Realtek onboard chipset, which has separate front, rear, and subwoofer 3.5mm output jacks on the back. The chair has 2 inputs, both a RCA input and one 3.5mm line in jack, and also has one RCA output. I'm also running on Windows 10 Professional 64-bit

Here is what I've tried so far:

-Have Logi's plugged into front speakers output, and Rocker plugged into sub output. Set speakers config to 5.1 surround in control panel, disable rears & center speaker. During the test there, it seems to recognize the chair as a sub, but in any games/music players I've tested only the Logi's output sound, no chair sound/rumble.

-Again, Logi's plugged into front speakers output, and Rocker plugged into both sub output AND rear output using 2 separate cables (3.5mm male to 3.5mm male from the sub output into the line input on the chair, and going from the rear output on mobo into RCA input on chair using RCA cables and 3.5mm adapter). Set speakers config to 5.1 surround in control panel, disable center speaker. During the test there, it recognizes the 4 front and rear speakers accordingly and it also the chair sub. Playing games have proper surround sound, but no sub action in the chair (again).

-Plug the chair into the front speaker output on the mobo. Daisy chain run RCAs from the chair output into the AUX input on the Logi's. All speakers and subs work in 2.1 this way, but in order to get a satisfying amount of rumble in the chair I need to turn the volume up too high that I hear the chair speakers more than my Logi's, which is of lower quality, and the sound of the 2 speaker sets are also slightly out of phase, so it's not ideal.

And that's pretty much as far as I've taken it so far. So really, the main issue seems to be that the sub output on my mobo seems to do nothing in real applications (during the speaker setup test is fine, though). I've, of course, just tried updating my audio drivers to the latest version as a last resort. Next thought is splitting the front speaker output with an adapter and putting in some sort of crossover or filter device between the chair and the adapter, but that seems a bit much, and I'm halfway thinking about just returning the chair all together... but I figured I'd see if maybe someone could provide some help on how I might make this work before I throw in the towel.

Any suggestions?

I don't think you are going to be able to configure the combination of speakers and chair you have to do what you want to do. I think you would need separate sub inputs on both the chair and the speakers.
If you did there would still be the problem of balancing them to sound and rumble right.
Check out parts-express,com
They have a variety of bass shakers that you can attach to any chair. You will need a separate amp to drive them.

Thanks for the response. Obviously not the answer I was hoping for, but I appreciate you taking the time nonetheless.
