Hey! I have this VCD/AV converter to transmit video from my STB to my TV downstairs (Picture of the converter below), but it only delivers SD quality. I know its using a AV input, is there any alternatives using HDMI to deliver HD quality because i could find anything similar to it. It also has TV OUT and ANT IN ports at the back of it. Thanks in advance.

That converter is taking the RCA inputs and converting them to radio frequency (RF) on an unused local channel. It can then send the antenna input plus the RCA converted signal to the remote TV. You then use the tuner on the remote TV to get local channels plus the RCA signal. You asked about HDMI or high-def output from your set-top box to a remote TV. The link I provided will give you an HDMI to plug into a remote TV with the connection made by the existing coax between the two points.

Oh so the ANT IN and OUT is nothing here?
I will try disconnecting the ANT cable and see whats the output later.
PS: That thing is quite expensive too :p

Thanks in-advance.

EDIT: This is very confusing here. The ANT port is not being used downstairs. The cable connected to the TV port is labelled as ANT IN which is the type of cable labelled as TV OUT in the converter but the port labelled as ANT IN in the converter is not being used downstairs. I think i better leave it as it is. This is very confusing stuff :p
