I’ve been looking for a decent laptop for video and light gaming use on the go. I think I found this great deal on newegg for one but I’m not sure if I’m overlooking something or overspending.

While I’d prefer to spend less to get what I want done, this seems to get the most bang for my buck as opposed to spending $100-200 less for an i5 6th/7th gen or worse with an SSD

The one “major” con I have with this is the 1tb HDD. It does at least have a 128gb SSD, but I’d prefer to have a 256gb+ SSD, no HDD with the option to upgrade. I’m also not sure if an 8th gen i7 is all worth it, though I can’t find much better besides an i5 8th gen with a 256gb SSD from costco for about $600 after tax and shipping.(https://m.costco.com/Acer-Swift-3-Laptop---Intel-Core-i5---1080p.product.100376947.html)

Let me know what you guys think. Any and all help is much appreciated

Thanks for the help, I’m also the one that made a thread asking about that Acer Aspire. I’ve just been hoping for it to go on sale. On Amazon and the Acer website, it has been $600 since release I think. I’m in no rush to get one. Considering waiting for CES 2018 to see new models and hopefully sales on older models.

I have low expectations for gaming on the laptop I want. Pretty much looking to play CSGO, WoW, Civilization, with some flexibility for other games. Pretty sure an Intel 620 integrated GPU would handle the games I listed fine.

Yes you have several threads for a month now about a laptop, you should stick to one and not keep creating new ones.

What you could get is a lower-priced configuration of the 5570 with a 1TB hard drive with no SSD, and install your own M.2 SSD in it. The M.2 slot will also take NVMe. You could then use the HD as a secondary storage device.
