I have a Dell Alienware 14, bought in the year 2015.
My specs are as follows:
14-inch display (1920x1080 resolution, IPS panel, anti-glare surface) Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Intel Core i7-4700MQ quad-core processor (6MB cache, up to 3.4GHz Turbo Boost) Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M graphics card w/ 2GB GDDR5 16GB DDR3-1600 RAM (2x 8GB; max. supported) 256GB mSATA SSD boot drive (LITE-ON LMT-256) 750GB 7200RPM secondary hard drive (Western Digital WD7500BPKT) Blu-ray slot-load reader Broadcom 4352 802.11n/ac wireless LAN Integrated Bluetooth 4.0 Integrated HD webcam 1-year limited warranty Dimensions: 13.3" x 10.7" x 1.6" Weight: 6.1 lbs.
It is in perfect condition. All my hardware has been recently tested and my fans are also clean and there is no heating issue. I'm being able to play games and everything smoothly. My computer is also used for Adobe products like AfterEffects, Premiere , Photoshop, etc and it runs smoothly even with files as large as 3GB and doesn't get stuck. I also use it to make 3D models in AutoCAD, Fusion 360 and 3DsMax.
I run these Autodesk products using my NVIDIA card only and they run really good when I do the modelling. The issue arises when I have to render, even if my laptop isn't too hot, it just shuts off. Completely. I can't seem to understand why. It happens only with Autodesk products. Please help me finding a solution for this. I've been looking everywhere on the internet but didn't find anything.
