Hi I have a Sony av receiver and am running 8 ohm speakers of it I seem to be loosing loudness from my speaker's especially my tower speakers has anyone experienced the same sort of occurrence.

Solution
Not sure what you mean by losing loudness?
8 ohms is the most common impedance for home speakers so the Sony will certainly be stable driving them. Some speakers that are rated 8 ohms may actually go below that at some frequencies. That can make them harder to drive especially with lower end receivers It's not unusual for the receiver to limit the current going into the receiver to keep itself from shutting down..
If your Sony is an AV receiver you may also notice that when driving 5 or 7 speakers the power available will drop a great deal. That's because the power supply is shared by all the amp channels and isn't really adequate to run them all at full power.
