Just looking to use either of these desktops running Kodi (external HD's/Flash drives plugged in.) Listening via wired headset. Using HDMI port.
Playback/scrolling needs to be silky smooth. No audio/video codec issues.

Is the $100 difference worth it for the Acer? I don't know anything about AMD processors.

Both are overkill for what you will be using them for, and for issues with video, that will likely need to be tweaked for any OEM system since it's not likely they will have anything but the standard MS video player. What are you trying to accomplish here and connecting to what screen? If you have a smart TV, many of them can play media files off a drive directly, no need to spend $500 on a computer.
