Hello

I just bought Lenovo Yoga 520 (Intel Core i5 8th Gen). And now, i'm planning to buy Intel Optane Memory 16/32GB. Is Intel Optane Memory 16/32GB Compatible with my laptop (Lenovo Yoga 520)?

Spec:
Processor: Intel Core i5 8th-Gen
Memory RAM: 4GB DDR4
Storage (SATA): WD 1TB
Storage (M.2 PCIe): Intel Optane 16/32GB (Planning)

Why Optane?

It only works on the OS drive, and if you're going to use the PCIe drive for the OS, there is almost zero benefit.
Just the PCIe drive and more RAM will serve you better.

Optane is meant to speed up frequent tasks when paired with a slower magnetic hard drive. If your Yoga has a slow older style spinning magnetic HD and you perform frequent tasks you should see a gradual improvement. You won't see any improvement if you pair Optane memory with an SSD or the tasks you perform and random (different applications, different tasks).
