hi, here is my issue, i used Bios and HDD passwords, (OS ubuntu 14.4). today when i turned on my laptop and tryed to enter passwords, laptop has electrical key sounds. Bios pass worked correctly but HDD pass does not. then i somehow turned the key sound off, and turned of Bios and system passwords but HDD pasword still does not working and not appear in setup menu to resset or turn off. i rememeber my password it was same on both bios and hdd. setup menu>security indicates HDD drive as "PASSWORD SET" but has no button to turn off or reset. i dont know is it a system problem or Phisical. pls help me.

Dunno, its your password. But you wont find any help here beyond being told to remember your password and make sure you put it in right. Passwords dont set themselves, or change themselves. It is against site rules to help beyond that.

worst site worst forum worst answers. find other source of information users. don't waste your time here. it is not illegal to share information about user experiences.

Never said it was illegal, I said it was against site rules to assist with password issues. There is no way to verify you own the laptop you want access to. Google is a powerful tool to help you. Did you Google your issue?
