I have a brand new SSD and I have a dead HDD. I also have a recovery key from Lenovo for my ideaPad 510-15ISK, a USB to SATA adapter cable and another laptop completely working for downloads and such. What do I do now? Do initialize the new drive first? How do I load Windows 10 from the Recovery key? I need step by step instructions please.

Solution
call the vendor up see if the recovery iso you can download it. if not as the hard drive failed if it failed under warranty the recovery disk should be free if not there a small fee for the usb stick. once you get the usb stick from the vendor put the drive in the laptop and boot from the usb stick and let it run.
