It's got a yellow triangle & It says , cannot Read disc. The movie plays on our bedroom tv, & the DVD/VHS plays it with NO Problem.

Solution
If your BD player is already on your network the menu of the player will have a place for you to update the player firmware.
You can't connect a BD player to a PC to do this. You can use a wired ethernet connection if you don't have WIFI.
If the player isn't internet capable you may be able to download a file, burn it to a disc, and "play' it. Check the owners manual and Sony website for firmware upgrades and how to do it.

Hi, I am running into the same problem when I burn home movies onto BluRay. It plays fine in my new 4K player, but not in my 10 year old BluRay player. I am told that that the codecs used in BluRay are different now. But, the LAN jack in the back of the player should allow me to hook it up to my PC and update the player. I didn't know that was possible. Yours is doing this with a new DVD? It's possible that the codecs have changed for those too. Try updating your player. We'll see!
