How can a Bose SoundTouch 300 soundbar be connected to a Pioneer Plasma TV PDP-LX608g. I also have a Pioneer Receiver VSX-D608, which has an optical out, but connecting fiber optic cable between soundbar and receiver doesn't work. Video and audio is received via a set top box. More details upon request. Thanks

Solution
TV has analog audio outputs. Receiver has analog audio inputs. Connect them. Check the receiver manual on how to assign the connection to an input if needed. Choose a surround mode such as Dolby Prologic.
If you have any sources connected to the TV with digital audio outputs then connect those to the receiver. That will give you superior surround sound than the analog connection.
