Guys I am looking to buy a laptop for the upcoming year. My budget is not more than $1500. I short listed this list https://listfolks.com/best-laptops/ and picked two laptops i.e. ASUS Chromebook Flip C213SA and Acer Switch 3. If you have good experience with any of them then share here. Or suggest any other good laptop. :)

Let me tell you how to fish for your needs i am in the same boat.
1. Processor - i5 7200u would be more then enough for you can below that too
till i5 6th generation.(2 physical cores are more than enough for you).
2. Look for the 2 slots of the ram[DDR4 BETTER] in the laptop.(speed is better than 1 slot
3. Prefer an SSD(solid state drive instead of the HDD) better bang for the speed.
4. Buy an external hdd to store rest of the data if you feel SSD capacity is less .

you can look for the benchmarks website but take those reviews with a grain of salt and check for the "real life speed" scenario differs courtesy is http://laptoping.com/cpus/product/intel-core-i5-8250u/ (the real life speed difference is only 0.95seconds in i5-8250U...

Neither of those, are you wanting to spend close to your budget or would you like the price lower? What are the uses for the laptop, gaming, media editing, general use etc? Do you want an ultrabook style laptop or more traditional?

I would prefer lower than the budget that I mentioned. I need it for ordinary use like make some assignments and write some articles.
