Hello.

I'm looking for a way to improve my sound quality, specifically the sub...

I have no idea what to do with this thing...

Any help would be greatly appreciated
It just feels like the bass is lacking.
The little sub itself is quite impressive but I am quite sure the carpet is absorbing a lot of the sound. Tried putting it on the desk behind the ultrawide monitor but that's even worse.
Sub is all the way up, and the little crappy computer speakers are as loud as they can be without distorting.

Here's a pic:

PS: Because of the layout I laid down the speakers.. a little ghetto but it works.

Put the sub against a wall. If that does not help and you are not happy with the sound, get better speakers. Higher end speakers can have metal spikes to go though the carpet, maybe try something like that for your sub, but I doubt that will work well. Looks like you have one of the lower end Logitech systems, those are OK but not close to the THX rated ones for good bass output. Look for a set on craigslist, I have seen some great bargains for the Z models like Z-2300 and in my area there is a Z-5300 someone is selling for $25 which is basically free. Just make sure you test it and test the controller before buying if you go that route.

That's what I was thinking WCS would be.

However. We just moved from an apartment to a house and in the apartment it was next to a wall and it sounded fine, wasn't even turned up that much. I don't really have that option any more as the cables are so spread out already now that it just won't work without some kind of adapters/extensions. I have plenty of items on my list before a new set of speakers (which isn't out of the question, it just is until I upgrade the stuff I want to upgrade) so i'm looking for a fix that will help me out for a while. I'm not sure if there are extensions for all the cables I need but I have a perfect corner for it to go in should I have to go that route.
