My Asus N-Series (N550J) screen goes black every time a bright background comes on screen, unless I have the laptop's screen tilted far enough back at an annoying to use angle.
I've had a look on other forums and websites and I'm struggling to find something that fits with my issue. The laptop works on an external monitor and the screen stays visible on the monitor even if it's black on the laptop. Some forums said to use a flashlight to see if anything was visible through it and that had nothing.
My assumption is it's some kind of issue with power, but what confuses me is that it's fine if the screen is tilted back far enough. Is there anything I can do? I could take it to a professional for repair, but that will cost a lot, I'm assuming.
The laptop also has a problem that it doesn't sleep, it shuts down every time I press sleep, but I doubt that is connected...
