TVs, in most cases, are designed so you can't record from them. HDMI with HDCP doesn't permit recording and TVs don't have video outputs of any kind. In some countries there may be TVs with built in PVRs but not that I know of in the US,
There are external over the air tuners that have PRVs built in that record to USB.
