With black Friday and cyber Monday coming up. What are the best PC speakers that may be under 500 with black Friday deals.

I know headsets are better for gaming focus only. I do love my headset and use it during competitive PvP games.

But after like 2 hours I just get an ear ache and want to relax with a fantastic speaker for mainly listening to music or movies with.

I want something with high quality and a good bass. Or if I need to buy a sub with it. So far I found the audioengine a5+ bookshelf with a receiver and I heard you can add a sub to it.

I want the very best as long as it's not over +500 and might be under that from Black Friday.

I don't have a soundcard but I heard you don't need it with a good motherboard? Is that correct?

I have the new Asus maximus x hero. Z370 board.

all mobo sound is realtek 64 channel 96khz sampling.

most soundcards (even the cheapest basic ones) 128 channel 128KHz sampling or better.

i will always champion the use of a sound controller over the mobo controller for anyone who spends more than $50 on speakers. its like buying a ferrari and not including a stereo .. yea the engine sounds great isnt an excuse.

i have always said:
you ever eat baked beans? can you tell the difference between value beans and heinz? some people can, because their taste buds are more sensitive. and this is true for sound. a boom from an explosion may sound the same, but will you hear the dirt and rubble as it sprays across the floor? better sound accuracy and isolation from a separate controller/card (with 128 channels of sound / double a mobo) will allow you to hear things (if you have good hearing) better, as the sounds wont get drowned/missed out like they do on mobos.

anyway, sound controllers aside, ive stumbled across a less mainstream (not creative logitech or trust) speaker set that seems to perform very well

this comes with a 'sit on your desk' control tower with plugs, no more bending over and dropping the soap.

and reasonably cheap under 100 bux here in the uk.
