DSLR "BULB" Trigger on/off?

So I have a Canon "EOS 1300D" DSLR Camera and I was hoping to do some really long exposure photos. The camera (Like all others) goes up to 30Sec exposure time then "BULB". I was wondering if there is any way to trigger BULB ON/OFF as you have to hold the shutter button for the entirety of the exposure which is very impractical.
