battery drainage problem

i update my os from windows 8 t0 10 bt unfortunately i lost drivers bt i installed all drivers from hp site ...bt now i have a problem that my battery draining fast ...i changed my battery 1 yr ago(orginal). ..is that drivers are tooo old?? what will i do if it is a software prblem
before changing the os i havs got enough workng time

I doubt it is older drivers that are causing the drain. However the new OS (10 instead of 8) can be a drain on the battery. Also, anything on the laptop that is running all the time, from start up, can be a major drain. I would check what is loading up when Windows loads.

Plus, over time, batteries do work less and less. A year and needing a replacement is nothing uncommon.
