Hi Im trying to work out if my camera is corrupting my cards

I have a canon 5dm111 and have several recent issues with corrupted images
Im using Lexar Pro cards and sandisk and ruled out that its a card or card reader problem as i have bought new ones
as i have had several issues and am scared to put through any software, I am now copying the flash card images straight onto my desktop and all seems to be well

when I put that card back into my camera the images won't view on the back of the camera.it says No Image but the images are there. if i put the card back into card reader the images are not corrupted and i can view them.

I have updated my firmware and nothing has changed

do i need to get the camera serviced or any other checks im missing
i am on a mac Pro

thanks

You should never store images on your card. Move them off the card. Back them up. these cards. Compact memory cards of all sorts are famous for failing. They need to be formatted on a semi-regular basis too.

Also that camera has curious card support. It supports CF cards up to UDMA7 but does not support UHS-I, max supported in SD is class 10. Canon only references a few supported sizes too. I'm sure most would work.

I would say try the following:
Empty the memory card (ideally it is a fast CF not a SD). Format the card in the camera. Wait a few minutes. turn the camera off. Turn it back on. Test the card. Turn the camera off. Put it in your reader. Have your Mac copy 1 image file to the card. Safely dismount the card...
