I got this laptop back in 2014 and it served me well up until 2016, that's when it gave me a "Plugged in but not charging" notification when I hover the mouse over the battery icon in windows. I read an article about taking out the battery and that stuff (I've done it on a regular laptop and it worked fine) and then it gives me two beeps that continue whenever I try to turn on the machine. Here is what I have done so far
1) I replaced the motherboard thinking that it died.
2)I replaced the cooling fan thinking it wasn't giving a tachometer signal.
3)I replaced the extra board on the other side of the pc since I know that USB port has died and that may cause it.
I'm now suspecting that it's the battery since it is the only thing I never replaced but I'm afraid that I may make a bad decision like I did with the other parts.
