My ideal setup is to have a nice sound bar under the TV that would attach to the TV, PS4, my computer if I plug it in via 3.5 mm and my mobile/iPad via bluetooth.

I would then like to have a second slave satellite speaker that I could place elsewhere in the home such that the audio is completely mirrored (i.e. not split into left/right channels).

Would this so-called True Wireless Stereo (TWS) technology be a good choice for this? Would you need to have two of the exact same speakers, or could you have a pair of any two speakers as long as they both have TWS?

Solution
It might be but since it's really not available in many products.
You could use the Denon Heos system to do what you want right now.

A Heos soundbar and speaker would work. Additional Heos speakers and devices could be added as needed.
Most Sonos devices don't have inputs or work with bluetooth so might not work as well for you.

The TWS true wireless Bluetooth headsets with the Realtek 8763BFR is a good choice. They can connect to your devices easily and stable. More important is the sound quality is fabulous
