Hello all,
So I recently purchased a Asus RoG Strix GL533VE "Gaming" laptop.
i7 7700HQ 2.8Ghz
GTX 1050ti
16gb ddr4
This thing is less than a week old. On first boot Windows wouldn't boot and couldn't repair itself. I had use Windows boot media usb to reinstall Win10. Which in itself was incredibly annoying since now programs like Asus' gaming center do not work properly but that's a secondary problem. So the purpose of my post, I can't play games on this machine. I have tried both Overwatch and the Witcher 3 and neither game will last for even five minutes before either force closing, laptop locking up, or severe screen tearing/ audio "screeching" I have the newest drivers from Asus as well as Nvidia. The laptop works amazing for all my work related stuff but if I can't get games to run on this I might as well run it out and send some rounds through it next time I hit the range. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the issue? And it shouldn't be thermal throttling as again games don't run long enough to make the GPU work for any length of time.
