Troubleshooting issues with my Yamaha RX-V581 receiver. No sound initially. If I turn everything off and then back on, I get a message saying "switching to external speakers" and then everything works fine. Is this a settings issue or do I have a defective unit?

That's it! Thanks so much. My installer kept telling me I had a defective unit and would have to send it back to Yamaha. Ugh. Very grateful to you for helping me to avoid that.
