Hello everybody, i know there are some similar threads out there but i wanted to focus on the latest models. As the title says i'll be using the headset for both gaming and listening to music, so the sound quality should be good. Currently i have Beats Solo2 WIreless. I can say these are maybe the best headphones i've ever used (sound quality), but they are on-ear and i cant play with them more than 1-2 hours because my ears start hurting. So im looking for Over-ear Headset with mic. So far i've tried Razer ManO'war and Sennheiser GSP 300. Razer's quality was terrible. Sennheiser was alot better but the bass wasnt enough. So if there is someone like me who have found a solution, please help me because im getting crazy already. My price range is up to $200. Maybe $250 if the headset is really worth it. Oh, just to mention that my motherboard got really good sound card just to stop comments like "razer are good, you need good sound card".

Have you considered getting a pair of good headphones and adding a mic to it? A higher quality headphone than the ones you've tested out will likely give you the sound you're looking for.

I currently use a pair of Sennheiser HD 598 with a Modmic 5 on it and get the best of both worlds.

The Sennheiser HD 598 SR run about $170, and the Modmic 5 runs about $70.

For all in one gaming headset, the Sennheiser PC 373D run about $200 and has gotten some good reviews for music audio as well as gaming audio.

I dont know what DAC is.. Im not familiar so deep in sound but i can tell the difference between good/bad sound quality.
I think im gonna try those M50x since one guy compare them to Beats Pro. Funny part tho is that some people say M40x are better ?

Ok, so i was thinking about that. I can say yes but i saw reviews saying razer have good sound quality as well. As i tested them i dont believe on such a reviews anymore. A guy who owns a couple of Sennheiser's told me their bass is quite weaker than and that applies for most of their headphones. So im listing them out (Sennheiser + Razer).

Ordered the M40x and got them today. They are waaaaay better than the Sennheiser and even more than the Razer's. But still bass not enough. So i ordered the M50x. I hope i wont be needing to look for others. Will let you know when i get them.
