hi
so my laptop just broke :( ...
i'm going to buy a cheap used laptop (my pc broke and i'm kinda broke loool) with a AMD radeon HD 8600/8700M ....... most of the time i use my pc for navigating the web or editing some photos in photoshop i'm not a hardcore gamer but i like to play some games every now and then like cuphead or rocket league , fifa 15 or 16 or so ...
and i don't know if this graphic card will do ???
sooo what do you think ???

I would avoid the Radeon HD 8600m series since the most powerful one is the Radeon HD 8690m and it is less powerful than the nVidia 920mx. The Radeon HD 8790m is the most powerful in the 8700m series and it is considered to be slightly better than a nVidia 940mx and more than enough to run those games.

A laptop with a 940mx typically starts at about $550 so depending on how much an old laptop with the Radeon HD 8790 costs, it may or may not be worth purchasing.

As I own a laptop with this GPU I am quite happy with it :) I can run games like overwatch at 60-90fps and Minecraft @ about 200+fps and I use photoshop and there is no noticeable lag unless I am editing high res images (4k) and has a small about of lag but still bearable definitely not a bad GPU and it's served(ing) me very well
