Here is the headset i have. https

The problem i have is that the mic will not work with my pc unless it is plugged into a mic only port. If i use a splitter or a usb headset/mic port it does not work. I sit far away from my pc and my keyboard has a mic/headset port on it. I have an extension going from that to the pc. Now this all works again only when the single 3.55 jack is a mic only port. I want this work in an all in one port that way i can have skype on the "chat" port and my pc game on the wireless. With a controller on an Xbox One it works fine as well. I am also making sure to use TRRS 3.5mm cables for the extensions. I just dont know why the mic works in a mic only port but not a combo port. The pc doesnt even sense any sound coming from the mic when plugged into a combo port. Any help would be appreciated.
