Keyboard stopped working

Hi all,

I've been having problems with my laptops keyboard. It's stopped working but the mouse ans buttons still work, sometimes when i reset it several times it works for a shot time but then stops again, i've tried connecting a keyboard via usb but same isssue. I rebooted it back to factory settings and same issue but now i can't configure the laptop and can't get into it. The laptop model is Samsung NP535U3C.

NOTE: If you need to type in a password to even get into Windows to do the following, make sure you attached an external keyboard first, to get past the password. Then disconnect the external keyboard and try the following...

1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

If this doesn't work, you may wish to try connecting an external keyboard and see if it works fine. If it does, then it could be the keys themselves that are the issue.

You may also want to try updating the Synaptics Driver if the above doesn't help.

Hey,

Yes i have tried all of that and still no luck, i have rebooted everything back to factory settings i've updated and even uninstalled keyboard via device manager and nothing. When i connect an external keyboard i have the same problem. I have taken the battery out, cleaned and reconected the keyboard connector attactched to motherboard and no luck.

But i don't think it's a problem with the keyboard because when i press certain keys on the keyboard things jump on screen so it's being recognised then when i restart i repetedly press F2 F9 enter F10 enter and it works for some time then dies again. I am literally lost for ideas.
