As the title says. Its really not the remote, its the TV. I think its the IR sensor but since my dad lost the receipt, its gonna be expensive to bring this to a technician. So before I go there, i would like to ask if there are any other options for us. Is there an existing technology, something we can just plug in there (like a usb ir emitter or something), that would allow us to control the tv again?

Thank you in advance

TV model is Toshiba 32ps20

Solution
There is no simple fix. If the IR sensor is bad you will need a tech to repair it. If the TV is still under warranty make an effort to get the receipt from the seller. Otherwise the price of repair may be more than the cost of a new TV.
