IF the laptop is under warranty I would contact the manufacturer.
If it isn't, and you feel comfortable doing the work yourself, you need to open it up and check the connection from the motherboard to the display. If it is loose, in any way, it could cause the problem you are having. Try disconnecting the cable at both ends and then reconnect it.
If you don't feel comfortable doing the work yourself, then try a local tech.
