I need some quick help. My<MOD EDIT: LANGUAGE> sister spilled water on my laptop last night, I found out when I opened it just now. It was a little bit on the right side of the keyboard and a little bit on the display. So I turned it on, display working fine, keyboard doing fine but the 8 and 0 keys aren't working. Before proceeding and using it again normally, is there anything that I should do? Again, it was just a little bit of water, so idk. Is there a way I can fix the two keys? Do I have to let it dry for days even for a bit of water? Am I safe using it again or it will kill my hardware and/or shock me?

I already tried removing the battery and putting the laptop upside down and shaking it; no water came out. Pressing the 8 and 0 keys doesn't make any water come out.

Solution
You should be leaving the battery out and leaving it turned off for a while. Depending on how much water, it could need days. And just not seeing water come out, doesn't mean there isn't any in it. If water gets in/near certain parts and you try to run the device, you could completely fry it.

You may not want to wait it out, but it is better than having to buy a new laptop.
