Ok, so out of no-where my HDD decided to crash on my Lenovo Y700 I5IS. I replaced the HDD with a SDD. I start the laptop, it booted several times fine then suddenly the everything starts the keyboard lights up, fans start...ect BUT THE SCREEN. I am left with a black screen. I opened the laptop open again and found that connection board cord shown here http://www.myfixguide.com/manual/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Lenovo-ideapad-Y700-Disassembly-19.jpg right above the card (the white cord that reads BY511 10 FPC and on the side 10 Board) was darker then this like it was fried or something it was forsure darker then the one in this picture, I can get pics if need be!. Anyways I still tried to do other troubleshooting to see if I could get it a boot, I found a solution by removing the top ram stick in the laptop http://www.myfixguide.com/manual/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Lenovo-ideapad-Y700-Disassembly-16.jpg ( the one on top of the other ram, I removed that) and my laptop started!. Now I am in a confused state because I dont know if the little fry on the board 10 cable caused my laptop to only be able to boot 1 ram stick(the bottom at that). I know forsure that the laptop will not start if I put ram stick on the top slot, the bottom works no matter which ram stick. I am confused on if that board 10 cabling is causing the top ram slot to cause the screen issue or what? Can someone please help me with this. If anyone has any leads to where I can find that cable, it would be awesome also
