Hi all

About three months ago I brought my girl a hp stream netbook 30gb ssdd running windows 10. My problem is the hdd is full hardly any apps or programs installed or personnel files saved to hdd. Has windows updates took all the space?.

I need to put her a program on it for a few days so she is happy to reset it back to factory hence a second issue.

When I try factory reset is wont allow me it says not enough space please remove some files.. Should not the C: format sort this?

I assume this netbook has a os pre installed to the drive on a small partition on the drive.

TIA

That is rather odd. You may need to check it for viruses and malware. That would be my first suggestion, as that can easily overtake a computer. You may also want to check the browser's cache and history. If they haven't cleaned it out, that will take up tons of space. And try running "Disk Cleanup". It should already be on the system.

Now, should you choose to do the reset, never assume there is a partition. I have heard from so many people who did that only to find out there wasn't after the reset was going. Never good. So be sure you double check.
