Hey guys,
I'm looking for something quite unconventional and have yet to find what I'm looking for. I have a good usb-dac (audioquest dragonfly), that I use to listen to music. I'd like to also be able to use it while doing household chores, but since it has to be plugged into my laptop that is not possible. Is there some sort of wireless receiver I can plug my dac in while having it in my pocket? I already tried using my smartphone for that however the playback quality is not nearly as good (since my phone can't be rooted Viper is also out of the question).

I hope you guys know something that can solve my problem, thanks in advance

That much would be easy, but the whole point is that I do not wish to bypass my external dac since it's really good. I still want the benefits of the usb-dac without it actually being plugged into my laptop.

Unfortunately that also wouldn't solve the issue as the bluetooth receiver would act as the DAC, thus, again, bypassing my desired one. My aux cable needs to be plugged directly into my external DAC to benefit the audio, I need something to get the sound to the DAC wirelessly.

To be honest, for me BT and HiFi/DAC are like water-and-oil - one or another.... You choose BT for convenience, knowing that you get so-so sound.

There are wireless USB "bridges", which would let you move your DAC close to your headphones. Now, you will have to get a portable battery pack for your DAC, but that's the price of "wireless HiFi convenience"...

Something like this is what I had in mind! Thanks
Now let's just hope that the audio quality doesn't suffer from such a setup...

I think some ppl are misinterpreting what you are trying to achieve which is still having your wired phones plugged into your DAC in your pocket, not running a wireless pair of phones right?

Have you tried a USB to Mirco USB or w/e apple uses this year cable from the DAC to your Smartphone? If you are listening to hard copies i guess this will hinge on your space for transfer. Not sure how the dragon fly will react when being plugged into your phone as well (android or apple?) but i would think it should be compatible. Or was this what you ment by you've already tried it on your phone, if so apologies :)

Otherwise i have the Oppo HA2 DAC(https://www.whathifi.com/oppo/ha-2-se/review) which does the same as yours but has more connectivity with other devices one of the reasons i bought it over the dragon fly was similar to yours actually, its a bit more pricey but also comes with a headphone amp which is nice for getting the most out of your cans from a smartphone.

Lemme know if the the first option was any help, otherwise i can totally recommend the Oppo, its a great bit of kit.
