Hello, I currently have NordVPN and I also know how to use a proxy server in google chrome from a website like http://spys.one/free-proxy-list/US/ which lets me choose different proxy servers in the U.S. I get how both VPN and Proxy work individually but can I stack them together and be behind let's say 2 walls of security? or does it not work like that?

And my second question was is a proxy server like the ones I mentioned from the link secure enough on their own without torrenting...Just curious.

Solution
proxy is not as much a "security" more than it is a "server that spies on your actions and let you reach web sites it is allowed to let you reach, etc.
proxy is a redirect, vpn, is a direct link between two points, it, is secure. Proxy isn't,.

Yes, it sort of depends if you need virtual relocation or privacy. Also, paid VPN companies have the added benefit of anonymizing you within their VPN servers with all the other customers using the same server.

You would need two different providers with a lot of network configuration to do that.

The closest service to what you are looking for is privcyhero https://www.privacyhero.com They combine VPN for privacy and proxy for streaming. It would not give you "two walls of security" though since proxy does not add additional security.
