Wrong screen, or some other issue?

So my friend ordered a replacement for his broken laptop screen, and got the wrong one. The specs are the exact same; same resolution, same size, same connector and everything, but it just won't turn on.

If it is the same one then it may not be the wrong one. It could be that it is faulty or it could be that the cable to connect it is also a problem. He should exchange it and have them send another. To make sure it isn't that it is faulty before trying anything else.

He's already sent one back because they sent a completely wrong product.
Now he has managed to get the back light to light up on the one that arrived now, but it just stays white for a while and then starts fading. There's no picture at all.
