So my mom got this new laptop - > https://www.mikronis.hr/hp-250-g5-intel-core-i3-5005u-2-0ghz-4gb-256gb-ssd-dvdrw-w10-15-6-full-hd-intel-hd-graphics-5500-p-n-z3a07es.aspx

I set up the basic things she needed but a few hours later the laptop starts freezing, becoming unresponsive and it says that windows is no longer responding.

It's difficult to even troubleshoot since it takes so long for anything to respond, if it even responds.
Just shutting it off took several minutes of sheer frustration.
The laptop is not even a day old. Any ideas what it could be or how to fix it?

Solution
If it has Windows 10 you can try a system reset. System > Update&Security > Recovery > Reset this PC. This will restore the PC back to factory settings and reload drivers and uninstall all programs other than the default Windows 10 ones.
