Ultrabook gaming tips

Hi!

Was suggested to get a Aero 14 here, but couldn't have it ordered locally (tried earlier today).

I have found the 15" msi stealth with gtx 1060 and 7700hq locally. Is that one good? Poor battery life it seems like. How bad is it, when just taking notes?
How about the xps 13/15?

Any other suggestions?

My budget is about 1700-2000$

Needs to be: Lightweight, good specs (gtx 1060 pref., hq7700, 16gb ram, etc). 4k screen is a plus. Needs to be able to run Word for like 4h on battery, low:ish brightness (taking notes during lectures). Intensive tasks I can have it plugged in for.

Why is it a problem if you can’t order it locally?Maybe the only thing I can think of is not having an authorised service of the brand(Gigabyte in this case) to fix your laptop on warranty.But really,I’m getting my aero 15x as a Christmas gift soon and from what I’ve read Aero’s are incredible laptops.If you want to know your battery life and other stuff like gaming benchmarks, i suggest you type in the exact model and either look for a “notebookcheck” review or a youtube vid.In notebook check both the battery and gaming performance are really close to the bottom of the page.

Glad you’re satisfied dude!I just have one question...I’m considering buying the Aero 15x and since you had to order your Aero 14 from abroad, there is no dedicated service in your country and if something wrong happens you won’t be able to get the fix for free under the warranty.Have you talked to some repair centres if they can do what is necessary if a problem occurs?Cause really that’s the only issue I’ll be having

Apart from that,it’s everything I’m looking for!

Tbh, I wouldn't worry to-much about ordering from out of the country. As long as the keyboard is alright, you should be good to go
