WinCache.exe is located in C:\Windows\appdata with nssm.exe and msvcr120.dll.

WinCache connects to internet is that ok?

Info I could gather on WinCache says for programers but I am not using any programing software.

What is it, do I need it and is it safe?

Thank you in advance

For the most part I expect that it/you are safe. Not sure about "needing" it per se.

The important consideration is the context of your environment: is WinCache supposed to be there? And if so, what brought WinCache on to your system?

Are you doing anything with HTML?

Start with the following links:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/wincache/

http://www.cpanelonlinetraining.xyz/installation-guide-upgrade-blockers/

https://www.upwork.com/hiring/development/php-vs-html/

If you do not find any reasons for it being there, probably okay to remove it.

However, for the moment if no harm is being done - leave it alone. Just in case.....

Thank you for your time. I had looked at a few of those already but didnt see the HTML one. I am not doing anything with html. I do use a VPN but this just started running so would mean they changed something, I will ask them.

Again thank you for the feed back.
