No bootable device found with new ssd after old sshd failed - Lenovo Y50

Recently my laptop crashed and wouldn't boot up anymore and would just stay stuck on the lenovo startup screen. It wouldn't go into safe mode or recovery mode and would give me an error code of 0xc0000185. I noticed that the sshd would often make audible clanky/clicky sounds and loading anything up was a slow process. I took out the sshd and connected it to two other laptops and on both occasions would rarely show up on My Computers and on the rare chance it did it would not give me access to Users and would just lag and freeze up. Now it doesn't show up at all, even though devmgmt says it's connected. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling numerous times, and even trying to give full control to my other laptops on properties with both no results.

I figured it's time to get a new hd, so I bought a samsung 850 evo 500gb, and connected it to my laptop (the main one that cannot boot) and it says no media drive found, and cannot boot up, even when I try recovery mode. I checked bios and it says it's connected. Maybe it needs to be installed, but I can't without the laptop booting. Would I need to use a separate laptop? Idk what to do, any help is greatly appreciated!

No, the old SSHD looks to be physically dead. No 'repair' possible.

It is windows 8.1. I made a windows 8 installation usb, and I connected it and made the UEFI first priority to that usb. Then I booted my laptop again (with the new ssd) and it brought me to the windows 8 installation part. Tried to install but it told me I am missing a drive. Should I just do the same and process on my old sshd but instead of click install windows 8, click on repair computer?
