I own a LG X110 and I would like to install linux onto my laptop.

In order to do so, I have to change the boot priority but I can't change it unless I change the supervisor password to nothing(disabled).

On Aptio Setup Utility(version 1.23.1109), I changed the supervisor's password to " ' "(apostrophe) and now, I cannot change my supervisor password. It won't let me direct to the supervisor password at all.

The laptop boots to windows XP just fine after typing in the password.

What can I do to have no supervisor password?

Question from joshyc423 : "Resetting Aptio Setup Utility"

How do I reset the Aptio Setup Utility?

My options for setting the supervisor password is greyed out and I don't know what else to do.

I tried it by removing the CMOS battery and putting it back in but this does not work.

thank you.

P.S. i have a x110 LG laptop
