I am thinking of getting this laptop that comes with a 512 M2 ssd. I was wondering if I can swap out the ssd for a regular HDD and use it on my actual gaming PC. I cant seem to find if this laptop actually supports anything other than the default sdd. Can someone tell me if these laptops support HDD as well?

I just want to make sure I can use a normal hdd on this model. If I can see it in shop, can I check to see if it supports sata hdd easily? Like open the back of it or something?

The Asus X555BA-DM100T looks a bit thin, and may not be able to house a standard sized SATA HD or SSD. It looks like it was built to be thin, which a lot of laptops do these days. Check the manual that came with the laptop to see if it has instructions for upgrading or replacing parts like that. Usually laptops let you change the RAM and maybe the primary drive, but the thinner machines may not be designed to be user serviceable, especially ultrabooks.

The video you linked isnt for the X555BA-DM100T. Its a different version of the X555, different color bezel around the keyboard. I couldnt find any specifics to nail down which model the vid was using, but its not the one the OP listed.

This machine has an optical drive, but looks like it was squeezed into the design. This chassis looks like a wedge compared to other models in the X555 line. Im not finding any variations other than the one with the M.2 slot SSD. It may well be able to fit a standard drive, but Im not finding documentation for it.

Yeah unfortunately it has been designed for Nordic region and you cant find much info on it.
There this model as well:
https://www.euronics.fi/tuote/asus-x540ya-156-fhd-kannettava-tietokone/4712900424430/

and it is on Amazon:

They look pretty much the same, but one has what I assume a regular hdd and the other one 512 ssd.
