are these macbook pro good in 2017

Well, the second one you listed is a Macbook Air. Normally I'd say Pro >> Air. However, the main distinguishing factor of the Pro is the superior display (IPS, 100% sRGB, calibrated). IIRC, that particular year Apple cheaped out and went with TN panels on their non-retina MBPs instead of IPS. They are still calibrated with 100% sRGB, but they are TN so their viewing angles suck. I don't consider these usable for graphic design, photo, or video work (colors shift as you tilt the screen), which is kinda the whole point of buying a MBP.

The MBA use TN panels with about 60% sRGB. So again, not suitable for graphic design, photo, or video work. But people don't buy MBAs to do those things. They buy them for ultra-portability with a...

The MBA use TN panels with about 60% sRGB. So again, not suitable for graphic design, photo, or video work. But people don't buy MBAs to do those things. They buy them for ultra-portability with a (small) SSD instead of a HDD like the earlier MBPs. If you're not an artist, photographer, or videographer, and can live with the smaller storage of the MBA, I'd probably get the MBA over that particular model MBP.
