New Laptop Slow

Hi I have a relatively new laptop (lenovo y700 i7 6th gen and 8 gigs ram).... From the very start, this has been running quite sluggishly. The booting time is quite long and even after i log on, the explorer takes a lot of time (sometimes minutes) to start up and it even crashes sometimes. Games and other programs take a lot of time to start (but run smoothly after startup).... I frequently see bsods, the most recent one being "page fault in nonpaged area" i have already resetted windows to factory conditions twice and it shows some promise at first but the same thing happens again... Can anyone suggest a fix?
Also: HDD is constantly at 99-100% although no processes are shown to have any significant contribution to it in the task manager...

Adding an SSD would be your best bet. They are coming down in price all the time so it shouldn't be too expensive and you'd think you got a whole new laptop when you put it in. There could also be a bunch of bloatware pre-installed by Lenovo from the factory causing some slow downs and hiccups. I've never used a Lenovo laptop but most laptop come with at least some bloatware. Download PC decrappifier and it'll help you get rid of some stuff you don't need. The blue screens sound weird though. I'd download Cystal Disk Info and memtest 86 and test both the HDD and RAM for errors. Both programs are pretty simple to use and if anything is wrong I doubt Lenovo would bone you since the laptop is new.

Startup on a hard drive is always slow, it takes time for the disk to spin up and files to be read from it. The crashes indicate there may be something wrong with it but not necessarily. Adding an SSD or replacing the hard drive with one will significantly increase the performance, load times, and snappiness of your laptop. If your laptop has m.2 drive compatibility or an extra 2.5-inch enclosure you can add an SSD. Otherwise, you'll have to replace the hard drive outright.

Thanks.... I do realize this but I have another laptop (rather palmtop) with minimal specs... It still has a better startup time (programs wise) than this laptop... So I was hoping that this would be a kind of software problem.
Also... I have dome a lot of disk checks... And no problem has popped up so far...
