is there any alternative for core temp for gpus, that provides protection for overheating, like to put my laptop in sleep or shuts it down, when temp exceeds certain limit??
the reason is that i have a problem appeared recently, that my screen surprisingly goes fuzzy for few secs, then this fuzziness disappears after which my laptop freezes. after further inspecting i noticed that my nvidia card usage is nearly 100%, even when it is idle, and temp exceeded 80 c (176 F)!! it happened possibly because of a driver problem or a program i installed, then it disappeared after updating the driver. however it happens now when the gpu is heavily loaded, and here i have another question whether is it normal for my card to go over 80 C and turn screen fuzzy, when it is fully loaded, or does that mean that the problem happened damaged my card, even if slightly? should i replace the thermo paste and fans?? anyway, now i need badly the program i asked about to get around this problem even if for now, i'll be thankful to anyone helping me.
