You are trying to connect your sat box to both your TV and projector?
To do that you need an active HDMI 1x2 distribution amp to split the output of the box. A passive cable will not work.
If you have other sources then you can get an HDMI input selector with two outputs or even a Matrix HDMI selector that would allow different sources to either display.
