My Toshiba Laptop won't detect the WiFi this vacation home uses. All the other devices of me and my family have detected and connected to the network, but for some reason, this laptop isn't registering that the WiFi even exists. I'm currently using the WiFi from my vehicle, which means the laptop is connecting to password-ed WiFi's fine. It seems to be detecting every other WiFi in the area, but not this specific WiFi. My laptop is, I believe, a Windows 7. I've tried checking for laptop updates and refreshing the WiFi scan, resetting the connector of the laptop, and attempted at manually putting in the WiFi into the computers system, but nothing is working. I'm not sure if there is anything else I can do for it?

Solution
Try this....

1. Go to "Control Panel".

2. Next go to "Network and Internet" and then "Network and Sharing".

3. Now click on "Manage Wireless Networks".

4. On this screen, remove all wireless connections by "right clicking" on it and select "Remove network" from the drop down menu.

5. After doing this, close the open windows and reboot the computer.

6. Once the computer is fully reloaded, scan for the "Wi-Fi networks".

7. Click on the available network that you want to access and select "connect".

8. It takes a moment, but then you will be asked to give a password for your Wi-Fi connection. Type in the password and click the "connect" button.

It should now be connected.

If that doesn't work, and you can still connect to...

If that doesn't work, and you can still connect to other networks, I would start to wonder if they have a limitation on the number of device that the WiFi will allow to be used.

some laptops do not see channels 12 and 13 of the routers. then go to the router settings and set wifi channels manually or exclude channels 12 and 13 from auto negotiation.

open the browser and put the address of your router, you can figure out which address to use by checking the wifi of your pc on which address is connected. when you have entered the router settings, search for wifi setting and select the wifi channel to be used manually. you will surely find detailed guides to do it.

check in the router settings if the channel has changed. if it has changed, check that there is no setting to search for the least used channel, or an option to restart the connection at night and maybe even renegotiate the wifi channel if you restart.

I did hard reset. And entered username and pw and still won't connect. When I enter my IP address in google it doesn't show up. I know what is my IP address with android phone with wifi analyzer app.

put the dynamic ip on your pc and the browser will open the setting. if it does not open it, it is because it is an extender and maybe with the same network sub-address it creates problems. then turn off the main modem to access the extender configuration screen
