Hello everybody! I am in need of some help.
My Toshiba C655 literally broke down. My Gsd dog ran through the charger plug and it fell to the ground. That day nothing happened. But a few days later my screen went green... I knew I needed a new laptop by December so while I am fixing it I am looking for some suggestions....
I work from home & do a lot of multi tasking... (i work as a blogger & community manager, from time to time I create a few videos). That's why I was looking in the first place to improve my laptop, the Toshiba only has 4 GB ram and although I can work pretty well on It I am looking for a newer later with more specs to help me save a few minutes a day.
When I get bored I play Maple Story lol on my Toshiba It would run with a little lag but I could say It ran somehow good.
Now with the form:
1. What is your budget?
300 USD - 500 USD
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
At least a 15 inch laptop. I don't like smaller screens for working.
3. What screen resolution do you want?
I don't really know. I also watch TV series and movies on it so a screen resolution good enough to appreciate videos.
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Portable laptop.
5. How much battery life do you need?
I would say it doesn't really matter because I am mostly working from home. 6 hours wouldn't be bad though. I am used to my Toshiba not lasting more than 1 hour and half of usage
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I only play Maple Story from time to time xD
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Photo /Video editing / posting on FB groups, Blogs, watching TV series and videos.
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
500 GB would be fine.
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
I am from Venezuela and I am thinking on buying from Best Buy. The freight forwader company can pick up the laptop on store. I don't want to buy from Amazon because of its freight forwader policy. If something gets lost, Amazon wouldn't refund it if sent to a freight forwader company.
So if you guys could spot on a laptop on best buy I would really appreciate. Or if you know of any other site where I could ship to a freight forwader company without problems I would really appreciate it.

At least 2 years I would say.
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

I don't have any preference, though my Toshiba never bothered me with anything.
